I have a quick question..

I just received my new 500GB hard drive for my mbp and I was wondering if I install the new hdd, will I be able to retrieve all my files from my WD MyBook which is set to be the default backup source for Time Machine?

I do not want to backup everything I have, it would be too time consuming.... ugh..

thanks..

Short answer: Yes.

Long answer: Once you finish your installation from the OSX CD's, the migration assistant will ask you if you want to restore your files. Just choose your Time Machine drive.

Thank you so much..

everything worked like a charm.

It's like I never re-installed os x, everything is exactly as it was..lol
