I just bought a SSD for my wife's 2009 Macbook Pro. I just wanted to know what you guys recommend for moving the data over.

I suppose there are 2 routes to take...

1) Put the new drive in an enclosure and use Carbon Copy Cloner to create a bootable clone of the current harddrive and then just put the new drive in the computer.

2) Install the new harddrive and put a fresh install of ML on the new harddrive then put the old drive in an enclosure and run Migration Assistant.

I think I am more comfortable with the clone option, because I have never used Migration Assistant and I am not sure if I trust it. On the other hand, Carbon Copy Cloner costs $40....

So what do you guys recommend? Is there another alternative that I didn't mention?

Thanks!
