So the title pretty much says it, have not been following tech news for the past few years, but I am aware of iPhones slowing down over iOS updates and their battery degrading, would my Mid 2014 Macbook Pro Retina get slower if i were to upgrade it from Yosemite to Mojave? The only thing I care about is the speed, reliability and a little bit battery.

Same Mac here, I found every release after Yosemite got faster, with Mojave probably feeling like the fastest :)

I have the same model as well. No issues on Mojave. Go ahead and upgrade.
