I have a Early 2011 13" MacBook Pro

Specs

2.3GHz Intel Core i5 Dual Core
8GB RAM
120GB Samsung 840 EVO

I want to upgrade to the Refurbished Retina from October 2013
The 13" Retina MacBook

2.4GHZ Intel Core i5 Dual Core
8GB RAM
256GB SSD

Is it worth the upgrade from the 2011 Non Retina to the 2013 Retina?

Also what could I sell my old one for possibly. I have the Original Box, Charger, and a few cases and keyboard protectors. Thanks

You're not gonna get that big of a speed boost seeing as you're only moving up two generations of Intel processor (one if you lump Ivy Bridge in with Sandy Bridge). The only benefit you get out of that is the retina screen (which is only useful if your software is optimized for it), better battery life, and double the storage. Otherwise, it's sort of silly.
