Advice please,

I'm in the mood to upgrade my 2.4GHz uMP (late 2008) in preparation for snow leopard. At the moment I have a lowly 2GB of RAM and a standard 5400rpm Hitachi 250GB HDD (HTS543225L9SA02). Now I can't really afford or justify a SSD right now so i've been looking at either making the jump to 4GB of RAM or upgrading the HDD.

These are the two upgrades I have been considering:
4GB crucial RAM - http://www.crucial.com/uk/store/mpartspecs.aspx?mtbpoid=05217C5FA5CA7304 (£54)
5400rpm WD 500GB HDD (WD5000BEVT) - http://www.ebuyer.com/product/150515 (£64)

Which upgrade do you think would be more beneficial to me? One thing thats putting me off the HDD upgrade is that I'm sensitive to noise - could anyone with the above HDD comment on this?

Thanking you guys in anticipation!

Adam

I've done both, but did the RAM upgrade first. It definitely makes a difference. Do the RAM first, its cheaper and totally worth it.
