EXCELLENT
[doublepost=1473277081][/doublepost]I have always pre ordered thru att not apple, but o saw the option on apple web site

So do I upgrade thru AT&T or apple. What is the difference?
Last go around I preordered through the apple store app, had it shipped to my door w/o any issues. The app was the only tool I could get to for preorder that morning, no issues.

That said, you can order through Next or the Apple upgrade program through the app. I use Next and have never had an issue with preordering or with delivery being on time, etc.

Apple was great for me last year. Upgraded to the 6s Plus with AT&T Next. Heard some horror stories about AT&T's site last year for pre-ordering. Apple Store app was awesome.

Just know that if you're ordering on Next through Apple, you WON'T get a box in which to send your old phone back if you have to send it back to AT&T. If not, no worries!

We should qualify this: There is a difference between:
  1. upgrading through <insert carrier plan here> at <insert carrier store here>,
  2. upgrading through <insert carrier plan here> at the Apple Store, and
  3. upgrading through the AUP at the Apple Store.
That is why I had asked about your credit, because if going through the AUP, and if you haven't done it before, it will be a hard pull on your credit report to determine your eligibility. That is not necessarily the case with a phone carrier's upgrade plan.
