Specs:
2.0 gHz processor, intel core 2 duo
an upgraded 4 gigs of ram (only 3 are recognized, unfortunately :()
128 gb HDD
Broken superdrive
Leopard 10.5.8

I want to upgrade from leopard to snow leopard, but I want to take out my 6 year old HDD (surprised it hasn't failed yet) and replace it with an SSD. A couple of questions:

I also want to install and run windows 7 via boot camp on this thing, but I'm wondering how much space that would take. What size SSD should I get for the 32 bit version of windows 7 home + snow leopard? Boot camp assistant suggests 10 gigs, but microsoft suggests 16, and that's just for the OS. How much space should I reasonably expect to save for both OS's?

Secondly, I wanna replace the now defunct superdrive with another internal hard drive. I've got the caddy and everything. 1) Would it even work on my '06 comp? and 2) Would that interfere with booting up via boot camp or some other problem?
