I was in the Apple store today drooling at the new MacBook Pros and asked how much to upgrade the mem from 2 to 4 gb in store at purchase. The Apple person said "same as online, $100". I thought it would cost more. Does anyone know which is correct? Thanks. The Burlington Mass store just got the new MacBook Pros last night and had lots of people there.

Uh, I wouldn't recommend upgrading with Apple RAM, it's got a huge price hike on it.

Buy it from a third party assuming you can easily install it (not so sure about with the newest generation of MacBook Pros). I happen to like my Crucial RAM, I got 4GB for about 60 bucks and installation was a breeze.

You'll save about 30 bucks if you just install it yourself. Plus, you'll have an extra set of ram you can sell off if you so choose.
