I have the 2006 MBpro 2.16ghz Intel Core Duo with 1 gig of RAM. I was wanting to add more RAM because my computer has been slow. Does anyone know what kind I have to buy or where the best place to buy it is. I figure that the RAM at the Apple store is overpriced or something. I tried to look what to buy on the Apple online store but my computer wasn't on the list. Also, does anyone know what the max capacity of RAM you can add to this computer is? Thanks in advance.

The core duo should max out at 2gb. Like Apple Corps said, Crucial.com has a system profiling tool to tell you/sell you everything you need. Also, check out the "Guides" tab at the top of the page. Theres alot of info about ram in there.

Alright thanks, crucial.com is helpful. If you buy online do they install it for you if you take your computer to the store, or do you have to buy it there? Or is this something I could install easily?
