Upgrading RAM on iMac 27"

Awaiting the arrival of my 27" iMac 3.4GHz i7, but I'm just curious about how I know what RAM to purchase if I decide to upgrade? Whats the best option to go with that is also the most cost effective?

Assuming you have the stock model - you have 4GB RAM - 2Gb x2 - you then have two open slots - you have many options.

Your machine can max out at 32GB - 8GB x4

The cheapest easiest no fuss way is to search ebay for 3.4GHz imac ram. Best to buy two 8GB modules, which gives you the option to upgrade the other two further down the track.

I left the stock 4 gb in so got 20 gb total for now and works awesome. Both brands are good though, just dont buy apple ram total rip off.
