Hey guys, I'm looking to upgrade ram for my white macbook which I purchased about mid last year (2008). Currently I have 2GB and would like to upgrade up to 4GB as my uni projects demand it. Would just like some confirmation if my macbook is compatible for 4GB?

I have a 2.4GHz Intel Core 2 Duo, 2GB Ram, Mac OS X 10.5.7 white Macbook. Purchased mid 2008. Here's the RAM I intend to purchase (two of them):

Would appreciate it if you could tell me whether this ram is compatible for my mac, or letting me know a way of finding out if my mac is compatible. I'm sure it is, I'm just a bit of a newbie and would like assurance before I make these purchases.

Thanks in advance, Eugene

Not really expensive think about it
paying at least $89 for 2gigs of ram
when he can pay a little less than $100 for 4gb of ram.

think about it, yeah $82NZ plus international shipping is like $15 or something. it's still pretty cheap for a 4gb ram, than buying 2gb of ram for $89.

shop wisely

Plus custom fees (tax and duty) for importing a product that is readily available.

And the potential hassle of finding someone that will ship to NZ. I'll note that until newegg.ca went online, the company wouldn't ship easily to Canada.

Thanks guys, it sounds like a good deal but I'll heed scienide09's warning. I've got the money for the 4gigs of ram, I just don't want any hassles. I've shopped with elive before and they're great, they deliver within 1-2 days. I just wanted confirmation that it's compatible with my macbook.

Cheers, Eugene

Fry's electronic's has 4GB of RAM which I got for my white macbook at $45 with a $20 mail in rebate, best deal ever.

I can't believe i went years with only 1gb of ram. 4gb's is amazing, porn- i mean, Hulu videos look great.

problem is that my white macbook is the late 06' model and only accepts 2gb or RAM but unofficially supports 3.3GB.
