I have a 32gb ziphoned ipod touch.

Everywhere I read that restoring the ipod is safe, but heres my question.

When itunes goes to download the restore factory ipod software when you click restore, is it downloading any type of updates with it that could possibly cause any problems to my touch?

If so, is there anywhere I can download 1.1.4 software that will restore it but will for sure not cause any problems?

I'd like to un hack it to bring it back to apple.

Thanks,

It will download NO updates to harm your ipod, so you are safe there

the sticky at the top is the offical appl 1.1.4, which is your best bet to DL
