Hello everyone. I have seen a couple threads on the internet about people asking if it is possible to swap out the logic board on the macbook pro 13 inch on a 2009 and upgrade it to a 2010 logic board. I myself was interested in this as well. It just so happens that i have had the chance to do this as a friend of the family was getting rid of his 2010 MBP 13. So I quickly went to work. I can indeed confirm that the logic boards do indeed switch out and work correctly in entirety. The upgrade is successful. So if anyone wanted to upgrade their macbook pro 13 from 2009 I can say with confidence that swapping the logic boards with a 2010 c2d version does in fact work.

Eventually sometime this year I will take a look at the i-core models and report back if I have the luxury of having a spare logic board. It would be interesting if one were able to get a thunderbolt connection upgrade. Well I will report back if I have any new findings on this. Thanks all and thanks to the mac rumors community for being one of my go-to places for questions and information:)
