I recently jailbroke my phone so I could use slingplayer over 3g.

That said, when 3.0 comes out, I will probably upgrade to that at least until it is safe to jb 3.0...

I remember when I went from 1.0 to 2.0, I had a strange problem.

Basically, I went to restore my phone using iTunes, but because the new software was version 2.0 and my old version was 1.0, all of my data couldn't be transferred to the new 2.0. [or something like that]

Does this make any sense?

For those of us with jailbroken phones, should we restore prior to 3.0 being released or will it be safe to go from jailbroken 2.x straight to restoring with 3.0?

Thanks
