This is for Verizon so I'm not sure how SIM card works exactly. I am using wife's upgrade and she is taking my 4s. I need to move my contacts and thing to the 5 and then clear the phone. But also need the 5 activated under my name and number. Not sure how easy this is. I heard if I do something wrong it takes a day for them to change sim. Not sure though.

Any help please?

to start you HAVE to get a sim from Verizon. I don't know how the 4S thing would work but I'm guessing she will just activate her number on it. You might want to take this to the Verizon store. Well actually you don't have a choice since you need Verizon u or c-sim to put in the iPhone 5.

wont the phone come with a SIM in it? anyone know if she needs to go with. would prefer not to bring the whole family.

you would at least need her phone and the account holder. They have to activate the sim in the iPhone 5 when you get it
