I have a contract with AT&T but I can upgrade my phone for a discounted price. When I go look at the options online, it seems I can only choose a non-refurb iPhone 4 (or both new and refurb 3GS).

But if I go to the AT&T store page, I see they're selling iPhone 4 refurbs to new customers.

What gives? Temporary glitch in the system, or at they not making that option available to current customers?

I don't think it's a glitch. I believe they are out of stock at the moment as I read in another thread yesterday. I just ordered a refurb as an existing customer on Tuesday. I am waiting on Fed-ex now.

They do have refurbs in stock. I can see the following refurbished phones available as early upgrades for me:

iPhone 3GS - 32GB Black (Refurb) $349.00
iPhone 4 - 32GB Black (Refurb) $449.00
iPhone 4 - 16GB Black (Refurb) $349.00
iPhone 3GS - 16GB White (Refurb) $299.00
iPhone 3GS - 16GB Black (Refurb) $299.00

Radio Shack is offering the trade-in deal again. My wifes iPhone was up for an upgrade. I took it to Radio Shack in Bloomington Indiana and received a ($75) trade-in on her iPhone 3g and purchased a refurb iPhone 4 16g for $124.99. Total with a new case was $75.

I just sold a pretty beat up 3g on fleebay for $180. I dont know why everyone thinks $75 for a traded in 3G is a good deal.

I'm not everybody, I just think it's a good deal.

It's great that you got $180. I just feel Radio Shack was fast and simple.

and what about 2g one? Is it worth it more than $75? I think I should be better off to get $75 for it....
