OK... since I've never done this before, I want to make sure I do this right.

I've got a 3G Touch (iOS 4.0) that's jailbroken. Now that limera1n is out, I'd like to upgrade to iOS 4.1 but I don't want to download all my Cydia apps again. Do I just do the normal upgrade process and then jailbreak it? Will that keep all the settings and such?

Or do I run limera1n first? My understanding, though, is that this wouldn't affect anything. Or is there no way to upgrade without losing my jailbreak settings and apps?

Most people use an SSH tool to drag their Cydia apps to their computer, then later back to their iPod after the jump.

I updated to 4.1 and I lost all my Cydia apps but when I reinstalled them, all their data was still there. (SBSettings settings for example)
