iOS 6 is coming tomorrow and the iPhone 5 on Friday... Are you going to install the new OS on your current phone or wait until Friday so that as much is new as possible?

I think I'm going to wait. I think I want to experience all the new changes in the software on the new hardware.

I'm waiting, had a nightmare upgrading my 4 to iOS 5 last year cause apples authentication servers went down.

Same reason as OP otherwise, will be good to use the OS n hardware that was built to run it.

You forgot e) have compatible hardware, will upgrade right away, but am not getting new iPhone, and f) have compatible hardware, am not getting new iPhone, and will not upgrade to ios 6. I am (e).

I am upgrading my iPhone 4 as it will be apples to apples on speed comparison between 4 and 5. Also, I can evaluate iOS6 on hardware that was running iOS5 to see how much speed is due to the OS.

This is the best way to evaluate just the OS and then just the hardware.

I'll be upgrading both my iPhone 4 and 3rd gen iPad. I want to ask least check out Passbook before I get the iPhone 5 on Friday.
