I'm one of the lucky Mac Book owners with a non-GUID partitioned hard drive. Got it that way straight from Apple.
I can't upgrade the firmware until I repartition the hard drive (or boot from an external drive, which I don't have), but of course that means I have to completely reinstall everything from scratch. I'm also planning on upgrading to Leopard soon, so I'd like to combine the two.
Can the Leopard installer handle repartitioning the drive to GUID? Or do I have to repartition from Tiger, then install Leopard?
And while I'm here: I'm assuming I can install iLife apps from the Tiger system disc after I install Leopard. Correct?
