Hello all!

I have been doing my research, and there is a bunch of information out there regarding SSD from the 2011 MBP, but I think I have the gist of the information. Here is my plan of attack, I am posting it here to see if this is what everyone else would recommend.

(All of this stuff is coming from Amazon, as I have Amazon gift cards)

- Crucial m4 128GB SSD

- Hard Drive Caddy to mount my HDD where the optical drive is.

-External enclosure for Superdrive

Here is my current plan:

1. Mount the SSD where the HDD is currently.
2. Remove the Superdrive and mount my current HDD in its spot.
3. Clean install of Lion on SDD, while keeping the other hard drive with my other information to migrate over after the installation.

Does this sound good? Would you guys recommend doing a different setup/different SDD?

Sounds like you are good to go. You might want to look at OWC's enclosure for your super drive. http://eshop.macsales.com/item/OWC/VLSS9TOPTU2/

I know it costs more, but unlike the Amazon offering, it fits perfect with no openings.
You're right, this does look better. Thank you!

On a side note: how would I go about doing a clean install of Lion on my SSD with my original HDD where the Superdrive goes? Would I just power it on, hold option, boot to my recovery partition on the HDD, then format+install Lion on the SSD from that partition?
