I have a MBP 2010 and i want to put an SSD in to replace the Superdrive, simply because i dont burn or use CD's.
Few questions to ask, if you could answer or point me in the direction i would greatly appreciate it.
1. Does it matter which drive goes where? ie move HDD to optibay or just put SSD in there
2. How will OSX know that i've inserted a new drive?
3. Should i fresh install lion on SSD or use TimeMachine?
4. How can i fresh install lion on the drive, via Mac App Store? or create a USB boot drive?
5. A lot of youtube tutorials just cover inserting the SSD, are there any comprehensive ones available that cover inserting as well as installing Lion?
6. After installing Lion, how can i remove Lion from the HDD but retain my files? (music, pictures, documents etc)
Once again, thank you for taking the time to help!
