My Wife has the first generation iPhone (my old iPhone) and I have a 3GS iPhone. Her first generation iPhone is out of contract and I plan to replace it with the new 4G iPhone for myself and then give her my 3GS.

How do I go about swapping numbers on the iPhones so that my number will be on the new 4G iPhone and her number will be on my old 3GS?

I will be purchasing the new 4G iPhone from Best Buy since I have RewardZone points saved up and because they offer an accidental damage service plan for the iPhone.

Put her sim in your 3GS and activate it on iTunes.

I recommend wiping it, just so that its a clean slate.

Wirelessly posted (Mozilla/5.0 (iPhone; U; CPU iPhone OS 3_1_2 like Mac OS X; en-us) AppleWebKit/528.18 (KHTML, like Gecko) Version/4.0 Mobile/7D11 Safari/528.16)

WOW, we need a sticky on these threads.

i did that last year, u can ask them to switch the #'s at att. they activate the iphone at the store so it doesn't really work like maflynn said u can but its just easyer to ask them to switch the numbers
