Is upgrading to the Titanium version a complete waste of money if I intend on upgrading next year? (Assuming improved features I like of course)

For one, we don’t know that Apple will offer a titanium edition for the Series 6. Not to mention, if you truly want the series 5, then what’s stopping you? I mean, if you have the expendable income and you truly want this watch, I wouldn’t worry about ‘next year’ and just focus on what the Apple Watch can offer you now.

If it’s in your budget then absolutely go for it. I’ve been an aluminum guy specifically for the Nike + version with literally zero issues of any kind but you should get what you want.

Agreed, if you can afford to do it, why not?!

Be young, stay cool, have fun!!

I bought a space black titanium watch and while I loved it I felt it wasn’t that much of an upgrade over my series 4 and the sting of spending another $1000 on a watch hit pretty hard.

If the resale values on these things was higher then I’d be more optimistic but alas. So now I’ll hopefully be able to get the series 6 and I do hope they have a titanium for the 6 when that launches.

The titanium watches are stunning. They really are much different than anything else Apple offers. If you can afford it then go for it. Just don't expect to get anywhere near what you paid when you sell in a year. The extra cost is definitely worth it to me.

I ordered a SB titanium last week. I am coming from a SB SS series 2. I really wanted some different and wanted the sapphire glass. I keep my watches for 3 years, so the extra money is worth it to me.

The difference in resale will be negligible. Buy it if you will get more enjoyment out of owning a Titanium finish Watch.

I think it's totally worth the cost difference. Like others have said, they may not make a Titanium version for Series 6.

I have seen the Edition watches hold their value pretty well in the past

Objectively upgrading every year is a "waste of money." I do it. You only live once, only you know your finances, enjoy.

I just picked up my SB titanium. It is beautiful. Worth the price difference over the aluminum and the SS in my opinion.
