I have 8gigs of apple installed RAM if I went w crucial 1600mhz will my computer be faster? If so by how much?

Marginally faster. Likelyhood is, you won't notice the difference 95% of the time. Only if you're currently experiencing an increased beach-balling activity, would it make practical sense to upgrade to 1600.
