I purchased a refurbished Mac Pro from Apple a few months ago- and have come to the conclusion that the 7300GT just doesn't cut it for most of the work and play that I do. So! With holiday season right around the corner, and all those great video card deals, there isn't a better time to upgrade.
Now, I understand that if I were to purchase a PC video card (like the 9800, etc...), and install it into the Mac Pro, that video card won't be recognized, and won't be used in OS X; however Winblows will be able to use it fine. So from what I've heard, if I keep the 7300GT (the EFI-compatible card) in there, and I install the PC-brand card, both OS X and Winblows will run fine. Where OS X will recognize the 7300GT, and Winblows will recognize the new card.
Is there anything I should know before I give this a try?
