I recently converted to mac...and my cousin who has been a mac user for awhile let me use his CD to put microsoft office on my mac. The problem is its an upgrade CD and asks me for office 2001. Well he gave me the office 2001 CD, as well as a 10digit number that goes w/ the 2001 office but the upgrade requires me to browse and choose what folder it is in. I can't install 2001, because it wont let me...not compatible?
My question is, instead of leading the upgrade installation to a folder that contains microsoft office, can I just present that number to it?
or how can I make this work, if at all?
