I originally bought my iphone over a year ago (8G) with firmware 1.1.1, I think. I subsequently ran Jailbreaker and unlocked the phone. I am now running 1.1.4 and I want to upgrade to the latest 2+ firmware.
My question is: Do I need to run Jailbreaker and unlock again and also will I have to do it again when I upgrade to 3+ firmware?

Yes. Just follow the tutorials on iClarified and you'll be fine. Will take only a few minutes.

Worried

I can't help worrying that I wil end up with a useless chunk of electronics.
Are you saying that every time that I upgrade I will have to jailbreak and unlock?
