upgradling to iphone 5s on a line, now want to sell it..

Hey guys, I upgraded one of my lines to get the 5S but I'm selling it on craigslist.

Since it was on an upgraded line, do I need to do anything to make sure my account or number is not associated with that phone anymore before I sell it?

It's still sealed and has not been activated.

Do I need to contact AT&T or something?

Upgraded AT&T phone need to be activated.

Your old sim will stop working once new one is activated. Just take the activated sim back to your other phone.
