I was running OS 2.2 on my iPod Touch 2G with several pages of applications and then I update to OS 3.0. It goes smoothly and I'm loving it but I purchased an application on iTunes and tried to upload it to my iPod Touch manually (click and drag from library to iPod Touch) but it didn't work/do anything so I think the only way to do it is by syncing. Now that's not a problem except one thing.

When I try to sync it says it will remove all my current apps. I don't want to lose any of my applications yet I need to put the one from iTunes on.

How can I sync my iPod with iTunes and not lose anything.

I don't really want to buy any software or use a 3rd party application unless I have to.

Solved: For those wanting an answer on how I solved, right click 'iPod Touch' in the left-hand-side bar and click 'Transfer Purchases' and then wait until the sync icon disappears then sync your apps.
