Hello there, i am using a 2GHz Intel Core 2 Duo iMac, 1 gig of RAM... and so on... basically i'm using the cheapest iMac in the Apple store right now and it is Running on Leopard.

Anyway i have a 2 meg broadband connectionand when i use a windows laptop on either vista or xp i have no issue with upload speeds or uploading files to emails. however when i try to do the same things on my iMac, for example uploading a file to my iDisk or even more frequently sending a file in an email using the Mail application the upload speed is practically zero!

when sending an email it normally starts at 220 kb/s then instantly (within a second) drops to 4.3 kb/s which means that sending even simple pictures takes ages to do!

Does anybody have any idea what on earth could cause this or what the solution might be?

Thanks very much for any help you can offer,
dan.
