where can I upload files online for free (like a gig or so)? I'm needing to get files from a pc to my mac, but the pc is worthless for everything except internet usage (it won't even burn cd's).

online space doesn't come cheap, my friend. the most you're going to get for free is the inbox of a free email account, otherwise i don't know of anything. And a gig of space is a lot. Your best bet may be to hire a web server for a month, and rent that much space...
Can they be put in proximity to each other? Does the PC have any networking capabilities? You could just network them, it'd be cheaper than the above...
