I have a MacBook Air, an 8 Plus, a 5s, and an Android phone. The latter is mostly just a back up phone, as is my 5s now. I know how to upload photos from the 5s and the 8 Plus, but the USB cord for these is different from the cord for the Android. Is there anyway I can get photos taken on the Android up to my MacBook Air, or do the Apple devices and the Android mobile speak such different "languages" that they cannot communicate?

Thanks.

You can either buy the correct cable (lighting to whatever your android device is) then download and import into photos, it should get push into iCloud after that. Or you can download say google photo or OneDrive upload photos from android then just download into your computer and upload them back into photos (iCloud) as well.

Thank you. Who sells Android cables that will plug into my MacBook?? I have never seen such a cable advertised or anything.
