So Calif
Anyone concerned with recent tariffs about having to pay EXTRA for their iPhones ?

Case in point:
Last month ordered an EV product from a Canadian company and usually in the past I just see it delivered in 2 days International express without any hassle.

This time, I got a notice from UPS on the day of delivery to Prepay taxes/fees $182.16.

Stunned, I called UPS and after 3 different phone calls (UPS domestic, UPS International, UPS Brokerage) finally got the answer: 130% tariff + customs + brokerage fee for the item I ordered which was made in China and shipped from Canada.

I blanked out the company's name because they were not at fault - they ended up paying for the customs fee for me and UPS delivered the package a few days later. Very nice gesture to keep a customer happy, but not fair on the seller.

Apple ain’t shipping your iPhone from Canada to the US. So no, you wont have to worry.
Tim’s been in the OO multiple times over the past month kissing the boots and therefore is getting his Chinese and India made iPhones into the US tariff free.
Your other purchase was Chinese made through Canada which is exactly what the tariffs are trying to prevent. If it was made in Canada and covered under our FTA then you wouldn’t have paid tariffs. But still would have paid some brokerage because UPS is a rip off crossing he border.

Didn't know Apple had a free pass from China & India to the US.

Still does not sit well with me being forced to pay tariffs, customs, duties, and brokerage fees for a consumer buying out of country....

Shame that De Minimis Value Exemption under $800 no longer applies...
