Upsclaing DVD on Mac?

Hi,

I find that when I watch DVD's on my Mac with display 1920x1200, DVD looks awful because it is being stretched so much to fit the screen.
For my HDTV, I have a Pioneer 989-AVi, which upscales DVD and does a fantastic job.
I know on Windows, PowerDVD can upscale DVD's on PC, but is there a program which can do this on Mac, because to my knowledge DVD Player cannot.
