Very foolishly I have just attempted to customize my dock by downloading a new one and deleting my old one. The new dock doesn't have lights on it to show when a program is running and even worse, I can't control click an icon to clock the application.

I still have all the files from the standard dock in the Trash but I don't know where to put them to restore the old dock back.

Please help! I'm really worried about this. :(

How did you install it? I'm guessing not manually or else you would know where the files go. :p

Dock resources are located in [name of your hard drive]/System/Library/CoreServices/Dock/Contents (Right click on Dock and select Show Package Contents)/Resources.

Replace the files in the Trash into that Resources folder. Then open up Terminal and type killall Dock.

Did you follow the folder path?

It doesn't look like a folder. Like I said, right click on it and select Show Package Contents.
