Hi, my primary MacBook is suddenly now powering up - Tried the power management reset....removing battery/power and attempting restart after 12 hours and so forth. Does this sound like Logic board? Is there a chance the HD
data can be retrieved if it would be installed in another MacBook or...if Logic board is repaired?

Sorry for any elementary questions but never had an issue with either of two MBs before. Welcome any help - Recent data had not been backed up.

Thanks for any advice or ideas where to turn for help.

Mike

Chances are not powering up won't affect the integrity of the data on your HDD.

Once you replace the faulty component, your data should be just where you left it.

thanks

thanks for the note- did the reset button on this - (thought we'd done that already) and so far it seems to be ok. data/drive checks out ok...will see
how it goes. figured it could be a battery gradually going bad - creating
an intermittent power-up problem.
