Hi All,

I am very novice to hosting online video meetings - if fact, this will be my first time. I have to to give a presentation to a Charity School that helps underprivileged children overseas & I am based in the UK. I have to give the presentation early Saturday morning UK Time.

I use a 2015 15" rMBP running Monterey & am presuming the Charity School (In India) uses Windows computers. They have asked me to host the meeting & send them the link to join. The reason they did this is at their end, they cannot record the meeting & wish to have a copy so that they can then show it later to others who cannot attend.

I went on YouTube & found out that I can record the Google Meet via Quicktime. I tried this on Safari but for some reason could not get the Microphone to work - the camera worked fine. Can this be fixed?

I then went on Google Chrome & started another test meeting with my nephew. This time everything worked (I could hear & see the my nephew on the other end & he could hear & see me) & as the meeting commenced, I started a new screen recording from Quicktime. After about 8 mins, I stopped the Quicktime Recording & played it back to check if all turned out OK.

The problem I encountered was that the recording was made but on the audio, I could only hear myself & not anything he said. No idea why - can anyone please kindly help me out as to why I could not hear anything the other party said on the Quicktime Video Recording & how I can resolve it please?

I would be most grateful as time is now critical. If there is another, much easier, stable & reliable way for me to record the Google Meet Video on my Macbook, then please kindly let me know.

Thank You Most Kindly,
Bazzy.
