Hi guys

I had to remove the hard drive from my macbook to replace it. I was having problems removing it and I managed it eventually, but in the process the corner of the drive caught on an exposed strip of wires. I've no idea what the wires are bnut now the macbook wont even turn on! Totally dead. A pic is below.

Can I order a replacement part, if so, where from and would it be fairly straightforward to repair myself?

Please help! Thank you

Hmm i would take a look at ifixit.com they tend to have the inside scoop for the parts.

What macbook is that?

From the iFix it guide, it looks like it has to do with the top keyboard and trackpad. Im not sure if you can just order the ribbon cable but you may have to order a new top keybard and trackpad assembly. Replacement Keyboard top.

Thanks for the advice. Its a black macbook. I will have a look around on the website you mentioned.
