Hi guys,
If possible I could really use some assistance over here. Apple tech support is closed where I am located on a Sunday so my first port of call is lost. Also I'm a teacher in a rural location so no Apple store nearby.
Basically I wanted to fully restore my 2011 MacBook Air last night to what the HD looked like a couple of days before. This was due to an error that developed in the system when I tried I remap the keyboard and couldnt restore defaults. Apple technician recommended I restore over the phone yesterday. Technically this should have been no problem as it backs up to my Time Capsule regularly. However, last night, after I let the computer restore, it got stuck in the boot up process and all I could see was a grey apple logo and a perpetually moving loading symbol. It was like
The regular boot screen but just wouldn't go away. I left it like this for like five hours and no change! Same thing happens every time I restart!
Please help. What do I do? I need my mac for work tomorrow and just want it working again. Sorry if my post is vague or doesn't contain enough info. Typing on my iPhone (for obvious reasons). Tried to repair the disk in disk utility in Lion boot partition and restored a second time. Still no fix.
