urgent help! timecapsule running on vista HTPC before i get my macbook pro

hey everyone,

im running windows vista on my home theater pc and having problems with my hard drive so i want to make a backup of all my stuff before it goes boom.. problem is i dont have my macbook pro yet.

if i buy timecapsule can i back up all my media from the windows pc (without it changing the format of the time capsule to FAT32 ((or whatever it is called) without properly setting it up on a mac (as i dont have it yet)

or should i wait untill i have my mac then set timecapsule up on that and then back up my stuff from my windows pc

why not back it up the pc with a portable hd and when you get the mac buy the time capsule?

because i dont have a portable harddrive and i was going to buy time capsule anyway, so wondered if it was capable of what i was asking.. cant find much on google about starting it up only using windows
