Ok, so I bought an Airport Extreme last week and I need to know if my existing router/modem has to be put in bridge mode, its a 2700HG 2wire router/modem, sooo for best performance should I bridge the 2wire router and let the airport extreme do all the work or should I just bridge the airport extreme and keep the 2wire working as a router too?

Thanks for your time guys,
JC

Yes, you should disable routing on your modem as it could cause conflicts with the APX. That's why you're buying the APX isn't it :D

Well maybe, but the main point is that there might be complications. You're never gonna max out the bandwidth of your APX anyways, but latency might be an issue depending on what you do.
