hi - i hope this is in the right place and not an old query (i couldn't find any mention of it...)

now, when using safari, one thing i'm missing from my internet explorer days is the field at the bottom which shows the url of any link i just hover over with the cursor, prior to clicking on it.

the thing is, it is there (subtle, in grey) on some sites, but not on most - and i can't see any way to induce it to stay there permanently...

any ideas?

...thanks. wait a minute, let me just go check the glossary and find out what you mean...

I think he means that you should press CMD and /. This activates the status bar permanently.

thanks. ahem. so it's the status bar...

ahem.

i thought it was a coded message...
