I came across an interesting story on reuters.com so I decided to share it with someone. I pressed the Safari address bar on the iphone which of course gives u the option to share the link by inserting it into an email message. It even inserts the title of the page in the subject line. neat right?

Few minutes later, I hear back from my friend saying that the link I sent did not take her anywhere. So I compared the url of the page to the link that was inserted by the share function and they were not the same. In fact, the inserted url was truncated (the original url was pretty long).

Maybe I am not doing something right but does the share function limits the number of characters in a link? did anyone else experience this very problem? Thanks for any help!
