Hi!
I just bought an Apple Watch 7 series in the U.S., and one of my friends brought it to me. I did activate it in Argentina, where I live. Neither ECG nor O2 are active. I only bought it for those features. I've read some forums that in order from the feature to be active the important issue is the country where the Apple Watch was originally purchased, mine is LL (US) and not where it has been activated.

I'm reading at Reddit of people unlinking iPhone, restore and reboot without jailbrake. They use an application called iMasing to perform the backup. Do you have any idea whether this is possible?

By the way, my Apple ID is from Spain and my iPhone is BZ (Brazil) country of origin, (yes, i like to travel 😅). I dont know if that has anything to do when relation to the Apple Watch not activating ECG features. Can I restart my iPhone and change my Apple ID for an Apple Store account in the United States? It is convenient to have more applications available that might also help unblock the ECG function.

Sorry about the long script and the questions.
I really appreciate your help. :)

Not anymore. It now doesn't matter what country you purchase from, only country you're using it (your cellular provider).

Thanks for the info!
The O2 blood sensor it is available in my country and does not work either way.

Frustrating indeed to have spend the extra on a nice overpriced pocket calculator with no health features. Why Fitbit or Garmin does not have this country complication?

Also Heart rate feature which is surely available all over the world is stuck, not getting any readings. I might have to do a hard reset to see if that solves the issue or returned. I might have gotten a defective watch
