US Bank cards coming to Apple Pay within a week

Apple Pay is coming in early November and you can get ready by adding your U.S. Bank Visa® card to your iTunes® account today. Then, with your iPhone® 6 or iPhone® 6 Plus, you’ll be able to make contactless payments with your device.

Paying with Apple Pay is quick and secure. There are over 220,000 locations accepting contactless payments—and more will be added every day.

What Apple Pay offers U.S. Bank customers.

Improved security
In an Apple Pay transaction, your credit or debit card number is never shared or transmitted. Also, Apple doesn't store your information.

Simplified payments
You'll be able to make contactless payments at stores where you see compatible NFC checkout systems. You can even use Apple Pay inside popular apps.

Enhanced convenience
You no longer need to reach for your wallet or purse to find your card. Just pull out your phone, hold it near the reader in retail locations and pay with a touch.

All U.S. Bank Visa Consumer credit and debit cards will be compatible with Apple Pay when available through U.S. Bank.

This is great. The problem is they first announced they would be ready for Apple Pay as soon as Apple Pay was released. Well, that turned out to be false and they later made a statement saying they would be ready for Apple Pay at the beginning of November as part of a "phased" rollout. I guess multiple new banks will be added in the beginning of November as well.
