Us Flag Icon By The Time?

Some how a Us Flag has poped up on my OS. It is located to the top right by the TIME. I am running the lastest version of OS. It looks to be something with Special Characters. How do I remove this?

sys prefrences --> international --> input menu

then turn the char palette off, or whatever is checked, or check the show input menu in menu bar if you want the palettes still. or cmd drag off.

Just what I was going to suggest. You can use that to rearrange the order as well.
