Hey guys i was wondering if a US iPhone 3g would work on the 3g networks in Europe? As i am thing of getting one on eBay and there are more on the US eBay site than on the UK one. Any help much appreciated, thanks guys

Well, yes and no...

Yes, the US iPhone will work on European 3G networks.

However, as far as I'm aware, no one has unlocked a 3G iphone. So you'd have to sign up for AT&T. And I'm guessing that the international roaming charges probably offset any incentive to get one faster via the US.

But say when the unlocking software(if it does) comes out would it be compatible with the European 3g network since it differs from the US one?
