US iPhones Illegal to use in Europe!?!

Appleinsider.com reports that because the US models of iPhone lack the CE seal that they are illegal to use in coutries recognising CE regulations.

Which should make the world travelers taking their phones with them worried. Basically the are telling these big dollar spenders to stay out of their country or we will go after you.

Cannot wait for the stock boy at the local sofa factory to be given a life sentence for removing a mattress tag.

Edit: Basically just more ammo for the grey market raids.

That is dumb. What am I supposed to do if I decide to go study in the UK? Don't think I'll be giving up a device I paid a pretty penny for.
