USA internet access providers prices

I am from Europe and In two weeks I am going to study in Miami, Florida. And since I'm gonna need an internet access in my apartment I need to know objectively how much will the internet cost me, so I can calculate my spendings and since I can't find any info about internet access providers in USA, how much does it cost a month and etc, I really hope you guys will give me with info.

Any info will help.

If you know where you are going to be living, contact the apartment managers and find out who provides internet service there. Then look it up on the web.

There is no AmericanISP site, by that name, like CanadianISP.

Perhaps someone in the States has a link for you?

I have 12mb/896k DSL through Qwest and pay $51.99 a month right now and it goes up to the normal price $64.99 in a year. That is with a home phone through them as well.

Comcast has some good promotional rates. We pay $30 a month for 12mb/5mb.

We pay $45 monthly for 15down/10up.

It'll be around that for everything.

If it's an apartment complex there's a good chance you won't have much of a choice when it comes to picking a provider. You're likely going to be in a situation where the apartment management has a deal with one provider and you pick whatever plan you feel like paying for.

Or make a deal with your neighbors and share their wireless network.
