I have heard this is a known problem with iPhones where the phone power drains quickly (a few hours e.g. 4-5), the phone is always warm and the usage time always equals the standby time. It's like the phone never actually goes into standby at all.

I've loaded the latest iPhone 3G software and updated all my apps and the problem continues.

Any suggestions?

Thx.

08/05/11 - Recharged for the 3-4 time since updating the SW and the problem stopped. Now the phone is cool and the Usage time is no longer = Standby time. Strange!

This problem of continuously hot/warm phone has occurred several times before and after full updates eventually goes away. Has anyone else seen anything similar and may have more details on how to fix faster?
